What is ADAS?

Would you like to refresh your driving skills and EXPLORE becoming a SAFER driver?

ADAS is a voluntary Community Association based in Somerset. We aim to help drivers become more confident and safer through our dedicated range of fully supported and flexible training options.

So much has changed for the driver over the last few years. Changes which include road infrastructure, new and improved vehicle safety features, driver assist technologies, multi-feature automatic transmissions, petrol/electric (PHEV) combinations and fully electric vehicles.

If you would like to make sure your driving is safe in todays traffic or maybe to build your confidence behind the wheel, taking part in our improved driver module or one of our advanced driver training options could be the answer.

How it works

By providing practical advice and guidance we aim to develop hazard awareness & planning and to introduce you to changes to the highway code.

By reducing everyday driving risk and building confidence through our fully supported coaching sessions we can help drivers become safer on our roads.

Drop in - Drive out

Join us at one of our regular meetings, which are held in the Taunton area, where you can drop in and meet the team & drive out with one of our mentors or trainers.

Where and when do we meet?

  • We meet on the 3rd Thursday of every other month
  • Next meeting:
  • At 7.30pm
  • Our venue is St Peter’s Church Hall, Priorswood TA2 7HD
  • Afterwards, cake and tea/coffee will be provided.

Our Membership:

  • Cost to join is £95 for the first year then £35 annually
  • (Our year runs October to October)
  • The Advanced Driving Test cost £65 for your initial test
  • As long as you retain membership, subsequent tests are FREE
  • (every 3 years)
